Feeding out the hayPart of the activities at this Family Friendly South Australian farmstay
Our annual rainfall is 28 inches (700 mls) and
our dry spell is usually only from about Dec/Jan to April each year. It
is during the dry period and into winter that we feed hay to the sheep,
and we have yet to meet a youngster who does not enjoy a hay-ride on the
back of the ute.
The children seem to get a kick out of watching
the sheep come running to the back of the vehicle to get the best hay as
it is fed out to them from off the ute.
